Currently, Trident has a RF Engineer position available in our Fairfax, VA location.

Responsibilities:
Involved in full-lifecycle support for new Trident military communications products. The selected candidate will work with Trident’s experience RF team and be responsible for concept development, requirements specification, and managing technical performance of detailed design activities, both in-house and via subcontract. Trident is developing short and medium range low power communications links utilizing spread spectrum and ultra wideband techniques.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field and at least 3 years experience
- Experience in all aspects of the RF development process, including requirements specification, schematic design, device characterization, simulation, layout, testing, and vendor interfacing.
- Experience in the design and integration of RF communications/antenna systems (3MHz to 10 GHz), including a full spectrum of RF functionality (amplifiers, switches, mixers, couplers, filters, VCOs, etc).

The following application areas are considered a plus:
- Advanced wireless networking design, including WiFi, GPRS/GSM, UWB.
- Regulatory compliance testing for safety/EMI/EMC.
- Radar.
- Past project leadership experience with strong communications skills.
